Stephen Rowe’s Never More There Shortlisted for Heritage and History Award

We are excited to announce that Nightwood author, Stephen Rowe, has been has been shortlisted for the Heritage and History Award for his book Never More There.  The winner of the award will be announced on January 3rd at the Ship Inn in St. John’s.  Shortlisted authors Stephen Rowe, Tom Dawe, Calvin Hollett, Jack Fitzgerald will give readings at this event.  For more information, look here.

The Heritage and History Book Award alternates between works of fiction and children’s/young adult books in one year, and poetry and non-fiction in the following year, and is presented by the Writers’ Alliance of Newfoundland & Labrador. This year’s shortlist comprises poetry and non-fiction books that best reflect the award’s mandate to reward literature that exemplifies excellence in the interpretation of the history and heritage of Newfoundland and Labrador. The award is sponsored by the Historic Sites Association of Newfoundland & Labrador.
