Launch Week for Gillian Wigmore’s Dirt of Ages

Nightwood poet Gillian Wigmore is celebrating the release of her much anticipated second book of poetry, Dirt of Ages with two book launches this week.

Don’t miss the Dirt of Ages book launch and reading at the Vanderhoof Public Library on Tuesday, May 15 at 7 pm (free event).

On Thursday, May 17th at 7:30 pm you can catch Gillian at the second Dirt of Ages launch at Twisted Cork in Prince George (1157-5th Avenue, P.G.).

Nightwood poet Jamella Hagen and Biblioasis author Claire Tacon will be busy sharing their latest works with the prairies and then on to BC for an impressively energetic book tour finale.

Nick Thran shortlisted for Trillium Book Award for Poetry

We are excited to announce that Nightwood poet Nick Thran, has been shortlisted for the Trillium Book Award for Poetry for his latest collection, Earworm.

The Trillium Book Award is one of Canada’s most prestigious awards for poetry and the winner takes home a $10,000 prize. The other finalists are Helen Guri for Match and Jacob McArthur Mooney for Folk. Winners will be announced on June 20th.
