The Odious Child shortlisted for the 2012 ReLit Awards

Congratulations to Carolyn Black whose latest short story collection, The Odious Child has been shortlisted for the 2012 ReLit Awards. The annual awards recognize short fiction, novels and poetry published by Canadian independent literary presses. The winners will be presented with specially crafted ReLit rings on October 20 at the Ottawa International Writers Festival.

This year’s ReLit shortlist for short fiction includes Carolyn Black, The Odious Child (Nightwood Editions), Matthew Firth, Shag Carpet Action (Anvil Press), Daniel Griffin, Stopping for Strangers (Véhicule Press), Jesus Hardwell, Easy Living (Exile Editions), Greg Kearney, Pretty (Exile) and Mike Spry, Distillery Songs (Insomniac).
