Verse Subversive: Ray Hsu on reinventing poetry

 In a recent interview in The Ubyssey, Nightwood poet Ray Hsu talks about breaking down traditional ideas of poetics and searching out what contemporary poetry should look like. His concept has no limits on form and expression: “Because poetry is the air that I breathe and the way that I think, that could encompass anything.”
