Gillian Jerome‘s debut poetry collection Red Nest has been announced as the winner of this year’s ReLit Award for Poetry! The ReLit, founded in 2000 as “an alternative to the big-money prizes,” is recognized by the Globe and Mail as “the country’s pre-eminent literary prize recognizing independent presses.” Congratulations Gillian!

Red Nest Shortlisted for BC Book Prize

Nightwood Editions is pleased that Red Nest by Gillian Jerome was nominated for the 2010 BC Book Prize’s Dorothy Livesay Poetry Prize, awarded annually to the best collection of poetry by a resident of British Columbia. Red Nest is Jerome’s first book of poetry. Congratulations, Gillian!
